About Me

Hey there, I’m Ally. I’m a wife to an amazing man, a mom of four, and a lover of Jesus. Usually you’ll find me with a toddler beneath my feet, coffee in hand, likely texting a friend…or five, because we all know there is no way I would get through a day without them.

Some days I feel like I’ve got this all figured out, and other days I’m trying to remember when the last time I took a shower was. #dontjudge I would like to think I have gotten pretty good at juggling diaper changes, meal planning, housekeeping, and whatever else is on my plate (I think I have lost count). But the truth is, I am no where near having it all figured out and every day is full of mistakes and small victories.

I constantly need the reminder that I was created for motherhood…and more. That the parts of my story I can see right now aren’t meant to be the end. There is much more, and I’m just trusting a God who has it all planned out.

This guy right here, he’s my rock. He’s the calm to my crazy. I’m the brave to his cautious. He’s the slow down to my jump all in. We are the perfect balance. It’s true what they say, opposites attract. In this case, I believe it’s what makes us a dynamic power team. I need someone to remind me of what I often forget, and he needs someone to remind him that it is okay to move. I’ve walked long roads of battling trauma and abuse and never once did this guy waver. He believed in me and encouraged me to fight every step of the way. The thing I love most about him is the way he shows me the love of my Heavenly Father on a daily basis. There is no one I would rather do this life with.

Jase Christopher

Jase has a heart of gold and hasn't met a stranger. His love for people is pure and strong, and so is his will. Out of all our children, this one keeps me on my knees the most praying for the wisdom to shape his will, not bend it. He is his daddy’s twin and his mommy’s personality. He LOVES to read and LOVES to learn. Finding things that make his brain tick are the way to his heart. He is always up for a good adventure and I am so glad he still wants to take his mama along.

Elyse Ann

This little girl is the most tender-hearted and sweet spirited miss you will ever meet. She steals the heart of everyone with her big blue eyes and her shy little grin. But don't be mistaken, her sass can come out in full force too. She is our little creative, always coloring and drawing on anything and everything. She's also as girly as they come. Headbands, dresses, jewelry, and fun hair styles are her love language. She reminds us to slow down and savor the moment and look for the beauty within it.

Evelynn Grace

Evelynn is the final piece to our family puzzle, and she came into this world with a bang. She is through and through our miracle baby. For 48 hours we were close to losing her, but God had other plans and we brought her home after a 15 day NICU stay by the amazement of all her Doctors. She is our happiest baby despite all that she has been through and it reminds me what true joy in the midst of trials are. You can read more about her story by clicking her photo above.

The Blog

You Are More is a blog with a focus on motherhood and homemaking. Motherhood is beautiful and chaotic all at once, and sometimes we just need to know that we aren’t alone. We need to know that there are other people standing in our corner who get it. As moms, motherhood makes up a lot of who we are, so much so that our identity can easily get lost. It is my heart to encourage you that you’re more than just a mom. I want to walk this road of motherhood reminding you that you can flourish in motherhood.

Through the pages of this blog you will find resources to help you be intentional as a mom, and as a result, flourish in your motherhood journey. It doesn’t matter the stage of parenting you’re in, there is something for you here. If anything, it’s a safe space. A place where you can rest assured that you aren’t alone. A place where you can be encouraged to chase after the dreams God laid on your heart. A place that enables you to be the mom you were created to be. This place is for you, no matter your walk of life, I pray you find a tribe here.
